I Pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one Nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.


  • We will be taking the Edmentum tests Sept. 9-13. During this week we will have individual core departments proctor a test each day during regularly scheduled class time throughout the week.  We hope that this approach will minimize testing anxiety and help with testing stamina. So it is in your best interest to make sure you are here and trying your best next week. Monday - during Math - taking the Math Test,Tuesday - during English - taking the Language Arts Test, Thursday - during Social Studies - taking the Reading Test, Friday - during Science - Catch-All Day finish any test you didn’t get done. Don’t forget you must have these done to go to the Homecoming Dance.


  • As we are testing next week don’t forget to charge your computers and bring your chargers to school.  The library has a limited number of loaner chargers.


  • Wed, Sept 25th, is Future Ready Night from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be a financial aid presentation and Representatives from Colleges/Universities, Military, Trade Schools, Unions, and Local Employers.  See the QR code on the TVs to see who will be present.


  • We will not have Concessions stand during lunch today due to pictures.


  • 23/24 Yearbooks are available for pick-up from Mrs. Lemon-Levy in Room 115 of the old building. Head toward the old main office and look for the 'iJAG" sign.


  • Juniors and Seniors: Do you have an interest in becoming a Power Lineman?  If so, please stop by room A227 to learn about an upcoming college visit that has been scheduled to Marshalltown Community College for Tuesday September 10th.  Students will have an opportunity to tour the facility and visit with current students of the Powerline Technician Program.  You may also email CCTC Marla Schultz for more information.


  • Your school counseling office will be offering the PSAT on October 9th at the start of day location TBA. It costs $18.  Sign up ends Today. If you are interested in taking the PSAT please stop by the counseling office, bring $18 and sign up with Mrs. Klinkhammer. Our new office is on the 2nd floor collab space outside the library.  The PSAT is a great tool to practice for future college entrance exams, and you might qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program.


  • Last day to get the math guys' limited time offer for one of those sweet white NumWorks calculators. $10 off + free shipping. Check out the QR code on the TVs, or see one of the math teachers for the discount code.  


  • The JV boys golf team played again Thursday at Emeis golf course. The Kings came in second place in the triangular meet beating Davenport Central but losing to Davenport Assumption.  Team medalist was Nathan Frye with a 51. Maverick Hensel finished one stroke behind him. Also scoring for the kings were Carter Thorpe and Reagan Steenhard.


  • Last night the River Queen Freshmen defeated Davenport Central in straight sets 25-15, 25-12.  Arra G led the offense with 5 kills, while Bailey S dished out 6 assists. Jayden J was 🔥 behind the service line with 8 ACES!  In match two, the Queens took on a strong PV team. They battled all night long and played some competitive volleyball but ended up losing in two sets. Molly S led the attack with 4 kills, while Alaina C had 7 assists. The team had 26 total digs. Phoebe L had 8 digs, followed by Bryanna S and Alaina C with 7 and 6 digs, respectively. A great night of volleyball!  The Sophomore Queens Volleyball team hosts a home tournament in Yourd tomorrow starting at 8:30am.
