Last night, the River Kings football squad traveled to Brady Street Stadium to take on the Blue Devils of Davenport Central in a MAC Conference matchup.
The Sophomore team won the opening game of the season by beating the Blue Devils 34 - 7. Clinton was led by the outstanding play of many, on offense, defense, and special teams ....everyone contributed to a great team WIN!!!
The Varsity Kings took the field next, and played hard, trailing Central by one point at half time. Eventually, the Kings lost a hard-fought battle to the Blue Devils 52 - 32. The Kings will look to rebound next Friday night against the Maquoketa Cardinals here at CHS in the home opener of the season.
