My name is JR Kuch and I am incredibly grateful to serve as the Principal of Jefferson Elementary! The 2024-2025 school year is my 17th year in education, with my first six years at the elementary level. My time was split between being an Intermediate Reading Specialist and a Fifth Grade teacher. For the next nine years, I served as an Associate Principal and Head Principal of Clinton High School here in Clinton!
Our Mission, Vision, Values, and Goals bind us at Jefferson. In short, we are here to serve each and every student who comes into our building and the caregivers who trust us to provide an outstanding education in a safe, warm, and welcoming environment. If you are a new family member of our building, we pledge to make Jefferson feel like a home away from home for you and your students! We welcome everyone! At Jefferson, our school motto is, "We Can Do Hard Things!" We want all students to believe deep down, that they really can accomplish great things and we will give them the tools, and the mindset, to get them there!
We are home to roughly 350 students in Pre K - 5th grade and over 50 staff members to ensure they reach high levels of learning, not only academically but social-emotionally. Here are just a few of the resources and programs that we have to ensure our students are successful:

We will work hard to instill the various aspects of self-efficacy into your child. We value the partnership with you and our community. Together, as a team, we can accomplish great things!
